Seems odd to be thinking Yuletide thuoghts in May, but here's advance
notice of the Christmas party daet - Saturday 6 December, once again at the
NPL in Teddington.

John has completed 14 tracks an all original new album, to be entitled Big
Hit In India with the title song 'Big Hit In India' and a second, 'Paper
Trail' now available for download at either his MySpace or website.

The album Likely to be released via download and as a physical CD. Cover
art coming soon to Strawbsweb. Also a 'Big Hit In India' music video is in
the works :)

The Resurrection project (the previously announced retrospective, with a
couple of new tracks) is on hold for now - looks like John got carried away
and recorded 14 instead of 2 !

All John Ford songs - old and new - are to be made available for single

Jon Buryk has uploaded his YouTube video of John Ford doing 'Werewolves of
London' at Cafe CoCo - Halloween Show 2006, on a double bill with Acoustic
Strawbs. Thanks to Amanda for setting that show up :)

Check out John's sites:

Acoustic duo Wychwood - longtime Strawbs fan Kevin West on guitars,
percussion and Lyndsay Hemphill on vocals are playing a live show on at the
Jolly Weavers pub, South Bar Street, Banbury on 7th June. Free admission
and the duo will be playing a 90 min set including 'Who Knows' along with
self penned numbers.

Their cover version of "Who Knows Where The Time Goes", which showcases
Lindsay's clear, attractive vocals, can be heard on Strawbsweb's fan
downloads pages - see, latest

Lindsay won't forgive me if I don't include in a Strawbswebnews the
cracking interview she did with Tony Hooper a little while back. It some
how got missed out whilst I was busy earlier in the year.

There's been quite a lot of activity on the fan cover front recently -
check out the recent additions to the Fan downloads page - or even try your
hand at one yourself.
