Great news for Montreal Strawbs fans ....

The FMPM team (who booked Strawbs for their festival in 2007) is very proud to welcome back the Strawbs in Montreal for a special concert on Friday, March 6 2009 at the Café Campus (57 Prince Arthur East, 514-844-1010).

Advance tickets are $43.85 (+ taxes) available through www.progquebec.com starting today, and through www.admission.com and the Café Campus box office beginning Thursday January 22. Entry is general admission and there are a limited number of tickets available.

News just in from Dave Cousins that Oliver Wakeman has been voted Keyboard Player of the Year by the Classic Rock Society. This is the third year in succession!!
Congratulations to Oliver - we're all looking forward to seeing you play with the Strawbs.

Fire - Four Page Spread in Shindig! Maqazine - Jan/Feb 09 Issue

There's an excellent four page spread all about Fire in the Jan/Feb copy
of Shindig! magazine - currently available in the UK at most branches of W H Smiths and various other outlets.
The Shindig! website is at http://www.shindig-magazine.com/ and details of where to how/where to buy outside the UK are also given.

Not only have Fire got their own four page spread, but there's also a four page
article about Apple Publishing, with several more mentions of Dave
Lambert, his involvement with Fire and Strawbs, various quotes from him etc.

And yet more..."Father's Name is Dad" is also listed first in the "Top ten stunners
from the Apple Publishing catalogue", with mention made of The Pet
Shop Boys sampling the song in 2005.
