STRAWBS 40TH ANNIVERSARY WEEKEND - BRASS AND STRINGS !
======================================================

Dave Cousins has arranged for members of the Band
of the Royal Artillery to play alongside the
current Strawbs line-up on Sunday 13th, conducted
by our old friend Robert Kirby. Should be a
real treat to combine the electronic orchestral
sounds provide by Oliver with the real thing.

Witchwood Media is making a donation to the
charity 'Help for Heroes' which supports service
personnel wounded in current British conflicts.

STRAWBS 40TH ANNIVERSARY WEEKEND - HOUSEKEEPING STUFF
=====================================================

PHOTOGRAPHY
-----------

Please not that, owing to the video filming
requirements there will be NO FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY
PERMITTED. Photography without flash is fine.

DON'T BRING YOUR OWN FOOD AND DRINK
-----------------------------------

Ticket holders will NOT be allowed to bring food
or drink into the venue. There will be hot
food, sandwiches etc in the bar. There is a
restaurant in the Marriott Hotel, 25 yards away
and a good selection of restaurants,pubs,cafes
and food shops in Twickenham town centre which is
15 minutes walk or a short bus ride away.

The show finishes at a reasonable time on both
days so that people still have time to get there
to eat if they choose before they go home.

==================================================
STRAWBS 40TH ANNIVERSARY WEEKEND - YOUR PICTURE ON STRAWBSWEB
==================================================

Ever been at a conference looking for people you
know from e-mail but don't know what they look
like ? Conference badges are helpful, but if
you're short-sighted like me you spend far too
much time gazing at peoples' chests for comfort (yours or theirs!).

So - a new feature on Strawbsweb for the 40th
anniversary, so we can all recognise each other
in September. If you're coming to the
anniversary weekend, send a photograph of
yourself with your name and a short caption to
dick.greener@o2.co.uk, and we'll post it on Strawbsweb.

And, even if you're not able to make it, send us
a pic anyway and we'll post it on the Absent
Friends page, so you can be there in spirit ....

UPDATE
------
I'll be adding the first round of pictures
received in the next day or so, including yours if you send it to me!!!

So give it a while then check out your fellow
Strawbs fans at http://www.strawbsweb.co.uk/@f/f_fangal.htm.
