VIDEO TREATS

Brian & Cathryn with gospel choir
---------------------------------

Brian and Cathryn played at St John's Church in Farncombe about eighteen months ago. The organisers were so impressed they asked them if they'd like to come back again and whether they'd consider playing with the local Gospel choir. Brian and Cathryn were happy to agree. The evening started with the choir singing a few songs on their own, then Brian and Cathryn performed two full sets, and then they finished the evening with Brian and Cathryn performing three songs accompanied by the choir. They've kindly allowed Pete Bradley to post a clip of "Will The Circle Be Unbroken" on YouTube and a new song "Spirit Is Stronger Than Truth", not released on an album yet - it'll be on their new album due for release next year.

Ruthless Blues
--------------

This is the blues band that Tony Fernandez plays with from time, which will be playing again in the UK next year (last time Chas was on bass!). As a taster, Pete Bradley has had permission to post a couple of videos he shot of them on the last tour onto YouTube. Links below.

Pete has updated various of the video pages on StrawbsWeb, and added a new page for Ruthless Blues. Check them out at:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALISON
=====================

And finally, today, 14 Dec, is Alison Brown's birthday - Ali, as you know, helps me with the Strawbsweb site, mainly looking after the live gig details pages, and takes over when I'm away on holiday or caught up with the day job.

Thanks for your help Ali, I know how much work goes into getting the info for the gigs pages (we only get the dates and venue name and have to research everything else on the web).
