Guitar feature on Strawbsweb updated
------------------------------------
Dave has recently sent me pics and descriptions of the latest two guitars in his collection - check out:

Cold Steel #3 in Cape Town
--------------------------
Shiloh Noone, a presenter at Fine Music Radio in Cape Town, sewnt the news through that "Cold Steel" had been voted into 9th place on the Cape Town Folk Polls in December. Apparently since then it has risen higher and on 10th January it was at number 3.
Pet Shop Boy
------------
Remember when Dave Lambert found out through a chance conversation that the guitar riffs from his classic Fire song "Father's Name is Dad" had been sampled by The Pet Shop Boys in 2004? Dave's distinctive riffs featured on a song called "I Didn't Get Where I am Today" which was releaed as the "b" side of a single
called "Flamboyant". Dave had been credited as co-writer (quite an unusual occurrence as The Pet Shop Boys generally write all their own material).
The Pet Shop Boys have now released a double album of "b" sides and bonus tracks from their career on 6 Feb 2012. It's called "Format", and has been up to no. 3 on the Amazon bestseller chart. Here's a link to the album on Amazon, and also a link to the full PSB song on YouTube:

There's also an interesting video clip of The Pet Shop Boys talking about Format. IDGWIAT gets a mention as one of their favourite tracks on the album - apparently it was going to be on an original album release but sounded too "happy" for the mood.
Here's the link to the page that has another link to PSB video clips on it (the second clip is the one to watch):
