STRAWBSWEBNEWS - APRIL 2013
Sent by Dick Greener, 13 Apr 2013
Hi folks
Apologies first off - Strawbsweb hasn't been as regularly updated as I would have liked over the last month or so, for various reasons which I won't go into (not health stuff so don't worry!). In particular I wasn't able to warn people that the Wigan show was cancelled. And I have been sent plenty of stuff from the extremely successful Moodies cruise, which I'll get onto the site as soon as I can.
I'm away now for a short holiday, so - for now ...
Contents
--------
* Upcoming Acoustic dates
* Jann Klose/John Hawken dates
* Roy Hill dates
* Anniversaries
More later in the month, or early in May.
Cheers
DICK

ANNIVERSARIES
=============
As well as being the 40th anniversary of "Part Of The Union", let's not forget that it's also
the 40th anniversary of one Mr Chas Cronk joining the band
and the 30th anniversary of the reforming of the band to play first on Rick Wakeman's celebrated "Gastank" TV show and then later that year at the Cambridge Folk Festival - Brian, Blue, Hud and John hooked up with Dave Cousins and Tony Hooper a two barnstorming set comeback - a number of our friends were there (and are clearly visible in the audience on the film!)- more later in the year ...
And of course, next year, the 45th anniversary will roll around. After discussions at the Witchwood Board meeting this week, I can tell you that there are a few nice surprises on the drawing board (but I can't tell you what they are just yet). Watch this space!
