DAVE COUSINS
============
Since the last message about Dave's health, he was quite slow to recover his full strength and had had problems with his voice after anaesthesia.
His consultant brought forward a planned operation to deal with a kidney blockage at the end of February when a gap became available and he was admitted on Tuesday 2 Sept.
I visited him in hospital on Wednesday 3rd and he looks to have made a much better recovery this time, and hasn't had nearly as much of the voice problems from anaesthesia.
He will be attending hospital once a week for the next 6 weeks for after care, but after that expects to be able to perform again.
Some fans have had reports from venues or promoters that he is terminally ill: please be reassured that that is absolutely NOT not the case. Whilst obviously still recuperating from surgery, his kidney function is reported to be very healthy despite his recent problems.
Best thanks to everyone for their good wishes, which I've conveyed to him, and for which he is very thankful.

MOVING PICTURES
===============
The new solo live album will now be released in the third week of November.
It will be priced at £12, and you can now pre-order from Witchwood Records online shop.
http://shop.firstandbest.co.uk/wwr/product_info.php?products_id=133
To have your name listed in the CD booklet, the last date for receiving orders is 5pm UK time on 5 Oct.
Moving Pictures is a live recording from Dave's only solo tour of the States, beautifully recorded and produced. Dave's songs were originally created with just Dave and his guitar, and this is a unique opportunity to experience the power and emotion of those songs, delivered on stage with all the passion that only Dave can bring. Tracks include some of his most epic works: "Blue Angel", "Ringing Down The Years", "Hanging In The Gallery", "Beside The Rio Grande" and the CD also includes the between-song intros, Dave with the audience in the palm of his hand as ever.

WAKEMANFEST POSTPONED TO 2016
=============================
Unfortunately Rick Wakeman has also had his health issues this year, which has led to the extravagant WakemanFest, at which the Electric Strawbs would have been united with their former keyboard wizard, for the first time since he left the band in 1971. One of the songs on the agenda was the epic "Where Is This Dream If Your Youth" which closed out Antiques And Curios, and Rick was planning to use a surviving example of the original organ he played in July 1970 - worth the price of admission for that alone!
Rick says (on rwcc.com):
September is already proving to have brought up its fair share of obstacles and I sadly have to start with the most pressing which is that we have regrettably had to put WAKEmanFEST on hold until next year.
We have made this decision early as we feel that is the fairest thing to do rather than leave the announcement until much later. All the participants have been informed and they are all on board for the rescheduling for next year and that also means that with a bit of luck, Adam, will be able to join us as well.
As most people are aware, I had quite a serious health scare just after Easter which necessitated my "culling" my diary quite drastically and although my health has improved and blood pressure heading the right way etc etc, it's meant, that on advice, I have had to take a really close look at what is currently in for the rest of this year and doing quite a lot more culling.
....
It's totally my fault as I allowed the diary to start filling up again and everything stemmed from that. My management, agents and indeed my wife basically read me the riot act.... AGAIN!!!........and I succumbed to the fact that I really do have to listen.
The deal that was struck was that of nothing being cancelled, just postponed and so announcements will be made as to new days, early next year, after my next medical!!!!......."
More news on the rescheduled gig when I have it.
