July Wakes festival poster (DC solo appearance, July 1976

My first ever festival, with old hometown chum Mike Hardy - Mike got this framed for me a while ago. After Dave's solo appearance, I went out to the fence between pounters and artistes where Dave was enjoying a post-gig refreshment out of a plastic cup. We chatted a while and then he flew off by helicopter to Cardiff for the Cardiff Castle gig with Strawbs thta evening(DG)
Loads of acts on this bill that I really rated - the late Alan Hull, the relatively new Five Hand Reel, who were a storming band, Jack The Lad (already a favourite), Hedgehog Pie, obscure acts Frogmorton and Plexus (I booked the latter for UCL Folk when I was running it later on) and Lancashire specialist The Oldham Tinkers.
