UK VINYL
UK release
"Starlight"/"Goin' To German"
DNS 1028 (Dawn, 1972). Dawn pulled two singles off this album, some released outside the UK. First out was "Plastic Jesus", followed by Dave Lambert's "Starlight" where, aided and abetted by his future Strawbs leader, the song was based on a Burundi drums effect. According to the promo, release date was 22 September 1972, a few weeks before the release of "Lay Down" (13 October). Lambert had played on the recording of "Lay Down" in August 1972 and publicly joined the band after a huge reception when he played with Strawbs at Chelmsford Folk Festival.

Australian release ??
"Plastic Jesus" was released in Australia, as was the album - any sign of an Australian release for "Starlight"?
