TURKEY LEG JOHNSON

albums

Turley Leg Johnson was a Strawbs side project to keep members of the band occupied whilst Dave Cousins ws otherwise engaged. Featuring Rod Demick, Hud, Chris Parren and Brian Willoughby, they played bluesy self-written songs, and frequently played a support set at Strawbs concerts.

They played a whole series of gigs around London pub venues in July to Sep 1987.

Issue 8 of the Strawbs Info Service newsletter gave info about the band members and their real identities:
B B Tremello (aka Brian Willoughby)
Kid "Gloves" Parren (aka Chris Parren)
Rev (Count de Money) Wedge (aka Richard Hudson)
TLJ himself (aka Rod Demick)
