Hi folks

Had another busy patch - here's a catch up

* Hero & Heroine In Ascenscia
* Acoustic Strawbs/Cousins & Cutler dates UK
* Acoustic Strawbs - US gigs, Sep/Oct 2011
* Dave Lambert interviews
* Craig & Willoughby video for Japan
* John Ford live DVD/CD
* Video links

Thanks to all who pre-ordered the album - hope you enjoyed the video footage.

The CD is released in the UK at the end of this month and in the US in early June.

More dates
As the boys gear up for some more UK dates, starting TONIGHT (13 May) at London's Borderline, a few more dates to add to the list:
· There's a formerly electric gig converted to Acoustic at Chatham on Thurs 19 May.
· A new folk club gig has been slotted in on 28th May - Grayshott Folk Club, Village Hall Grayshott

NB (there was a few errors in previous communications and on the website giglist:
- the Borderline London gig is FRIDAY 13 MAY, not SATURDAY 13 May
- the Chatham gig is Thurs 19 May not 22 May
- the Uttoxeter Acoustic Festival is on Sunday 22 May (previously listed as Friday)

The boys are playing at two Festivals in July:

Sat 23 July - the High Voltage Festival in East London (but NB this may be a backstage pass appearance (as last year), so you'll only be able to see them if you buy very expensive tickets). Further details on this when I have them.

Sun 24 July - AbbeyFest in Bury St Edmunds, alongside Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings (band includes Georgie Fame), where Rick Wakeman is credited as special guest both to Wyman and the Strawbs ! Not to be missed.

Sunday only tickets £8.00 (£11.00 children).

Acoustic Strawbs gig list now as follows:

Fri 13 May - The Borderline, London
NEW Thu 19 May - Brook Theatre, Chatham
Sun 22 May - Acoustic Music Festival, Uttoxeter
Fri 27 May - The Rock Bognor Regis
(venue is at Bognor Regis Town Football Club)

Radio Oxford

Dave Lambert's interview with Mark Watson of BBC Oxford went out on 25th April (Easter Monday) -among other topics Dave discussed was time spent recording at The Manor Studios. The show can be listened to online at

This is a link to the page about the show, "Bringing Back the Good Times":

Dave Lambert was recently interviewed by a fan from Slovenia, Klemen Breznikar, who has now put the interview on his blog:

Brian and Cathryn (amongst others) have recorded video messages of support for those involved in the horrific disaster in Japan. See their message and an acoustic performance of "Calling All Angels" at:

The film was shot by Blue Weaver, whilst Cathryn and Brian were out in Spain in April.

The recent John Ford live show on 8 April (Live@PWPL) was filmed and recorded and John is planning to release it as a video with accompanying CD later in the year. There'll be some interview footage as well.

It'll be available via CDBABY, Itunes and and other outlets, when
released. More details when I have them.

And, last but by no means least, Pete Bradley has done a major amount of work to put together a collection of video links to Strawbs and related material on YouTube. Pete's tried to ensure that the links are to material that has been sanctioned by the artists involved - if that's not the case, please let us know and we'll remove the offending links.
